Open de France EPT 2007 CANCELLED!!!

I just learned that the french open of the 2007 EPT is cancelled!!
that's what the site of the EPT says! this tourney should have had take place at Deauville in a casino of the Barrière's group! the group Barriere may soon post a message to say it has been cancelled, and there's a little hope that this event will still take place in France, but i got no illusion regarding that the french government have discliamed war to poker and online gambling!

The main reason that this event has been cancelled is that the main sponsor of the EPT is Pokerstar.com, and every advertisment for online gambling is prohibited here! but that's a true swindle because there was already some EPT event on the french TV! They just decided that in order to not do like Germany or Poland which let the EPT stand in their country because it's a good add for their cities and because French casino have just open many very modern poker room and because they became yoo power full in the economy of a region, more over i'm sure it's because of the pressure of Montecarlo who want to keep hi french big player in his casino!

Here is another prove of the french politics stupidity :

when the TELETHON took place in France last december (it's a National charity day, where every people can donate to help the patient of myopathy), there was many charity poker game organized in many cities, but they were none legal (regarding to french rules you need to have an autorization to create those games), so they were non-legal and the government and the cops were aware that those games would took place, they knew it phew weeks before the D day, BUT and that show the stupidity, they waited till the day of the Charity tournaments to cancell the events when every thing was installed etc.... I precise that some would have given all the prizes to charity and some would have given the half of prizes because this half prizes tourney was pretty big buyin and to have a good number of player they decided to give money back to some winner etc ... BUT no difference forhem they cancelled every of that tourney by doing a big cop mission all around the country!!!!

IF SOME FRENCH READ THAT PLEASE DON'T VOTE "SARKOZY" AT THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!! VOTE FOR WOMEN VOTE FOR LIBERTY VOTE "SEGOLENE ROYAL"!!!
